An order for pickup goes through two steps: you accept it, which tells the
customer it will be ready, and you mark it picked up when they collect it.
Your dashboard shows orders waiting, with a Pickup tag on the ones to
collect.
Find the day's pickups
- Click Orders in the left-hand menu.
- Click the menu icon at the top and choose Pickups.
You get one panel per day that has orders waiting, each showing the date, the
place and how many orders there are. Click a day to see its orders.
Back on the main order list, Filter by narrows things down by status or by
type when the list gets long.
Accept an order
Open the order and click to accept it.
Accepting emails the customer to say their order is ready, with the date, time
and place to collect it. So accept an order once you are confident you can
fulfil it.
You can also decline an order from the same screen.
Hand the order over
When the customer arrives, find their order and click Mark Picked Up.
The order disappears from the pickup list, which leaves you looking at only
what is still outstanding. It is still there under Orders.
This takes the money
Until you mark it picked up, the customer's card is only held. Marking it
picked up completes the payment.
Use the app on the day
The phone app works the same way and is easier to carry. It also scans the
QR code from the customer's order email to bring their order straight up.
