The Veterinary Medical Center at Lakewood Ranch (VMC) is a privately owned, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital serving the Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and Bradenton communities—just one hour south of Tampa. Our 18,000-square-foot facility houses both a busy General Practice and a 24/7 Emergency & Specialty Center, allowing us to provide complete, continuous care for our patients every day of the year.

-Two Criticalists on staff 6 days a week
-Boarded-Certified Surgeon

Our hospital features cutting-edge diagnostic and treatment tools, including CT, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, mechanical ventilation, laser therapy, high-flow oxygen therapy, and more!

In 2021, we proudly launched the VMC Animal Blood Bank, a fully functioning in-house animal blood bank managed by our Critical Care team. Our blood bank helps ensure life-saving blood transfusions are always available 24/7 for the patients who need them most!
