Gotland Sheep Fibre

A Northern European breed of short tailed sheep, Gotland Sheep originated on the Isle of Gotland, Sweden, in the Baltic Sea. They are thought to be the product of crossbreeding the native landrace of the island, called the Gute, with Karakuls and Romanovs during the 1920s and 1930s. Known for its silky softness and draping ability, our fiber has a bright sheen, and is coveted by hand spinners.
