Grayson Harlow sings folk music. He is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter who makes music inspired by folklore, mythology, and nature. He channels the sounds of traditional Appalachian and Irish music, the kinds of songs that ordinary people would have sung while they danced, labored, and mourned.
He spends as much time looking at birds as he can. Birds and trees and mountains are his greatest inspiration.
Some of his favorite artists, from whom he draws inspiration, are Joanna Newsom, the Tallest Man on Earth, Fleet Foxes, Gordon Lightfoot, and Steeleye Span.
Grayson is based in Charlottesville, Virginia.
