Spicebush (Lindera benzoin)

Deciduous shrub that can grow 6–12 feet tall. Yellow flowers blossom into showy clusters that appear in early spring. Plants are either male or female (dioecious). Uses: Leaves, buds, and new growth twigs can be made into a tea. Fruits traditionally used as allspice substitute.
