Magnolia Blossoms

Big, showy petals streaked with pink, purple, and white. But the flavor is the secret that has been right under (or dangling above) our noses all these years. It is an intoxicating melding of ginger and cardamom. These petals can be used decoratively raw, simmered into a syrup, pickled like ginger, or tossed in a stir fry.
