KUME is a line of gochujang-based sauces you can actually use every day. Full of flavour, super versatile, and easy to love. Born from my own cross-cultural background (raised in Korea, rooted in Canada), KUME reimagines traditional fermented staples like gochujang for a modern, everyday pantry.
KUME currently has three products available:
Gochujang Classic Sauce: A smooth, umami-forward sauce that highlights the depth of fermented gochujang without overpowering heat. It’s creamy (although plant based), savoury, just a touch spicy, and incredibly versatile. It's great on eggs, rice bowls, noodles, sandwiches, or even stirred into pasta sauce and dressings.
Gochujang BBQ Sauce: A sweet and smoky (with a bit of spice) take on Korean barbecue sauce, made with fermented gochujang and Korean spices. It’s perfect for marinating any type of protein, glazing rice bowls/roasted veggies, or adding bold flavour to anything off the grill.
Gochujang Chipotle Sauce: A bold fusion of smoky chipotle peppers and fermented gochujang. This one brings heat, depth, and just the right amount of tang. It’s especially good on tacos, fried potatoes, grain bowls, and anywhere you want that smoky-spicy kick.
At KUME, we believe fermented flavour shouldn’t feel intimidating. Our mission is to make Korean ingredients easy to love and easy to use — no matter your background, dietary preferences, or cooking skills.
