I grow and sell native and exotic plants at a low cost to encourage people in our community to embrace the amazing healing nature that nature has to offer! Plants literally saved my life! I was bedridden for the past decade because I have lupus and Gastroparesis. I had a feeding tube and a PICC line where I was fed through my heart. I ended up with liver failure and going into hospice but I was taken to mayo's ER the day before I was transferring to hospice and the doctors there figured out a way to prolong my life. They had the most beautiful plants throughout the whole hospital and all I wanted was to touch them and learn about them. I got major surgery last December and plants became my physical therapy and occupational therapy and mental health therapy and got me out of bed everyday. I never thought I'd like to get my hands dirty but seeing something grow and live and change create life is a life changing thing that you can't understand until you experience it. That's why I end up giving away free plants every time I possibly can. I try and encourage people to understand that there is no such thing as a "black thumb". There are always certain types of plants that fit certain types of people or lifestyles and if a plant happens to die, you can't take that personally, because that's a part of life and it teaches you what to do and not to do and sometimes certain plants are just done with there time here and are ready to be compost or maybe they are just buttholes and 🤷🏻😉
