Ahara Mushrooms

Ahara Mushrooms was created out of the founders desire to provide viable and sustainable USDA organic Lion’s Mane mushrooms grown in Rockville, Maryland. Ahara is family owned and founded by Ajay Malghan and Dr. Subhas Malghan. Upon experiencing the profound healing properties of mushrooms to recover from the long term effects of chemotherapy and a crippling bone disease; Ajay set out to share the immense healing potential of Lion’s Mane mushrooms.

Within its first year of its existence, Ahara gained their USDA organic certification and while serving multiple Michelin rated restaurants throughout the DC area. Their flagship products are; Golden Mane, a Lion's Mane Turmeric chai, Lion's Mane cocoa, Lion's Mane coffee and the only USDA Organic Lion's Mane Honey in the country.

Utilizing experience gained while working in range of positions within NIST, FDA and the Maryland Dept. of Health, Ahara is driven by science and a deep commitment to quality.
