About

I am a multi-media artist, learning to embrace my ADHD brain, working with wood, wool, stone, copper, felt, paper, glass, and more. I primarily sell unique, handmade jewelry, handmade decor, and some clothing.

Production Practices

My artwork is handmade, using found materials whenever possible. Mosaics and sculptures use wood discards or found objects. I make many of my materials from the ground up! Paper making from local weeds, and wool from local sheep make up most of my fiber work. I spent well over a decade raising naturally fed sheep for their beautiful wool. Although I am in the city now, I still support local, southern Colorado wool growers when I can.

I can spend hours sanding a piece of weathered wood, until I realize that snow has fallen on my head. I look down as I walk, because I trip a lot and because I am fascinated with pebbles and small pieces of wood. Everything I create reflects my passion for enhancing tiny glimpses of beauty in mundane things. When I weed the garden, I never toss out the plants I pull. Instead, I make natural dyes, ecoprints, paper, and, eventually, compost with them! When I see a leaf, I see its perfect shape more than its color. When I see a weathered stick, I see its potential underneath the dried, silver exterior. I am a lover of balance, and generally see both sides of everything I encounter. I am a lover of dogs...and cats. Horses...and donkeys. Sheep...and goats. Wood...and stone.
