Makanai is the little sister to Sushi King Restaurant which was a staple Japanese restaurant in Mōʻiliʻili for over 30 years before moving to the UH JABSOM about a year and a half ago.
Makanai has a simple mission: to offer delicious espressos from quality roasters around the world and pair them with our favorite foods!
Makanai started as a dream for my daughter, Mahina, and has now become a reality...an outlet where she can share her passion and knowledge learned from her travels around the world. while chasing waves, she stumbled upon great coffees and yummy foods.
