Manager

Christian Salazar
EmpaNet LLC is owned and managed by its four founders, Christian Salazar, Andrea Salazar, Diego Lanci, and Laura Guastella.

Christian Salazar BIO
Christian is a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for a well-known hotel management company headquartered in Boston, MA. He was born in New York City and moved to Argentina with his parents and identical twin at a young age.
Christian began his career in the hospitality industry right out of high school as a bellman at an independent hotel in the city of Córdoba, Argentina, while studying System Engineering at UTN. He entered the communications industry in the early 1990s, when the innovative wireless trade was booming in South America and around the world.
He began a new career in the wireless industry, working his way up from the technical department, billing, and fraud division, to becoming a call center training facilitator. Christian married his soulmate, Andrea, in the late 1990s and decided to return to the United States, specifically Tampa Bay, Florida. Christian was reintroduced to the Hotel and Restaurant industry, where his passion for hospitable service had always been evident.

Andrea Salazar BIO
Andrea is an Argentinian native who has spent the last twenty-two years in the Tampa Bay area. She has two children and is married to her soulmate. Andrea's love of food was inspired by her Italian heritage and the opportunity to work in the hospitality industry at a well-known local Seafood restaurant in Tampa Bay, Florida. This job ignited her passion for cooking, and while raising her family, she pursued certification from the University of Stratton as a gourmet cook and caterer, with a strong focus on fitness and nutrition.
Andrea is a woman of many dreams. As her children grew up, she decided to pursue a career in real estate, which she now does full-time as a Sales Executive and Mentor for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Properties Group. Clearly, her passion for nourishing others through food has never faded. After connecting with the right people, she is now ready to pick up her culinary skills and show America what Argentinian style empanadas are all about.

Diego Lanci BIO
Diego is an Argentinian native who worked in two different companies in Argentina until 2017. He has been performing management activities for over 30 years. One of the companies he worked with was a well-established family-owned business that sells construction materials to developing communities.
Diego traveled to Germany to study the art of brewing at one point in his career, and attended the National Institute of Industrial Technology, or INTI, in Buenos Aires to become a "master brewer." In the same city, he opened his own restaurant and brewery in 2013. In this restaurant, he served a variety of gourmet menus that complemented his artisan beer. Diego, who is descended from Italian and German grandparents, grew up loving the various cooking styles and cuisines of each country.
Diego, his wife, and their two children moved to the United States in 2017, specifically to Tampa Bay, Florida. He and his wife began flipping houses and investing in real estate. He met Andrea and Christian and soon began to dream about starting a new business that would be a market hit by bringing Argentina's most traditional meal, empanadas.

Laura Guastella BIO
Laura is an Argentinian native who has worked in schools in Buenos Aires for over 15 years as a kinder and elementary teacher. She co-founded a restaurant and brewery, also in Buenos Aires, with her husband Diego. She was in charge of a kitchen with five cooks/prep staff and eighteen waiters, as well as the sales operation.
Laura moved to the United States with her family in 2017, where she became a real estate agent and began working with foreign investors. When Laura met Christian and Andrea, she told them about a business her best friend runs in Argentina: a large empanada factory that produces 300,000 units per month.
After thoroughly discussing the project and learning about everyone's sales and culinary expertise, they decide to pursue the establishment of an empanada factory in the United States. Laura recognized that this would be a fantastic opportunity to participate in, and that bringing her passion for traditional Argentinian cuisine as well as her business management skills to help grow the business would be beneficial.
