We grow bees and harvest Virginia's regional honey varietals. The terroir and floral sources are one of our great joys, additional to the delight of managing our bee colonies.
All salves, candles and soaps we make are made with our own lovingly selected beeswax.
Our wildflower honeys are harvested every two weeks to provide a unique survey of the honey season.
We hope to open a window for all to see into our wonderful wild places and appreciate our farmed lands, where the bees work the forest, meadow, and crop flowers. Observing blossoms, geology, rain cycles, temperature, and daylight hours helps us Bee Happy, keep our bees healthy, and bring their honey to you.
I have kept bees since I was 6 years old with my mother. From truck driver to diesel technician to commercial beekeeper, I had to find a way to satisfy my fascination with bees and the natural world. In 2019, my wife, Laura, and I started Bee Happy Farms in Brookneal, Virginia. We happily perform crop pollination, grow bees, and harvest many regional Virginia honeys. What's the difference between commercial beekeepers and hobby beekeepers? Commercial beekeepers work in the rain.
