Hoffmann Farm and Forage is a 4th generation family farm in rural Story City, Iowa operated by husband and wife Andrew, chef/forager, and Sarah, previous local food coop manager. Our farm grows distinctive chef focused vegetable varieties using regenerative chemical-free farm practices. We also supply farm fresh chicken eggs, wild locally foraged mushrooms, along with unique jams/jellies, pickled vegetables, dog treats, and fresh baked focaccia all featuring our seasonal ingredients.

Andrew grew up on his family farm raising cattle, poultry, and produce. He attended culinary school in eastern Iowa and worked as a professional chef for 10+ years with a focus on local sourcing. After developing close relationships with the professionals providing quality ingredients he made the choice to pivot his role in the food industry becoming a produce farmer in 2018. He is also a licensed forager and has been foraging for 10+ years with a focus on wild mushrooms and ramps. He has since been supplying the local community with unique produce and wild edibles through restaurants and farmers markets sales.
