About

PJ Library is an international organization, locally serving over 850 children in the Greater New Haven area. Families raising Jewish children can receive the gift of free, high-quality children's books, music, and resources that foster deeper engagement with Jewish life from the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, in partnership with PJ Library®. Enrolling in PJ Library is completely free for families and made possible by generous donors.

PJ Library serves families with children from birth through 8.5 years of age, while PJ Our Way serves Jewish children ages 9 through 12, including affiliated, unaffiliated, interfaith or non-traditional families.

In our community, PJ Library is about more than just the books. Throughout the year we gather for story times, Shalom Baby meetups and special programs where families can meet new friends in a low-barrier, easily accessible way. This fall we are rolling out a series called PJ Gives Back: Hands on Volunteer Opportunities, which will kick off with a collaboration with Ezra Academy and Save the Sound for a beach cleanup day.
