Busy Bees - Original Mixed Media

This abstract beehive/honeycomb has been swirling in my head for months. So, it felt really good to put it on canvas. It was a labor of love. I hope it sparks a little joy and whimsy for you because that is what went into making it.

This 16x16 inch mixed media artwork is made with acrylic and gouache paints, markers, fabric, and embroidery thread. The honeycomb is all fabric applied to the canvas. The trim around the honeycomb is hand embroidered as are a number of the flowers. Other flowers and the bees are painted.
