Child Development Resources Fatherhood FIRE

CDR Fatherhood FIRE's mission is to empower dads to reach their goals and to be the best parents they can be. We work with fathers in our area on fatherhood, communication skills, employment, and financial stability. We serve dads and father figures in all of Hampton Roads, that means from New Kent to the beach! The core of our programming is 24/7 Dads – a FREE parenting workshop for dads where they work toward their goals in fatherhood, work, and co-parenting. We currently offer the 24/7 Dads workshop completely virtual in small groups but hope to resume in-person groups in the near future. 24/7 Dads is the nation’s foremost evidence-based parenting curriculum designed specifically for fathers. The 24/7 Dads curriculum promotes father involvement and intentional living, and our Fatherhood Specialists guide the sessions focused on parenting, communication, co-parenting, men’s health, and more. We also have sessions on financial stability and have a workforce specialist who works with dads that want to find a new job or advance their career.
