Paradise Found Honey
Vendor
We moved to Frostproof Florida about a year and a half ago. We had grown tired of the city and suburbs and all the people. So we bought 2 1/2 acres very remote. One of our objectives was to be conservation minded, and first on that list was bees. So we searched out a Beekeeper to start putting hives on our land. Our only intention was a symbiotic relationship with the beekeeper so that he would have good land for beehives, and we would help in saving the bees. However, one thing led to another, and we started selling his honey, and eventually other products that he was harvesting from the bees. It evolved over about the last 3 1/2 months into the business we have now. We offer 3 to 4 varieties of raw honey, honey cappings, bee propolis tincture, honey with comb, and honey straws.
When we knew he was going to install hives on our land,we became a registered apiary in Florida. At this point we have 19 hives on our land, and he has been able to harvest over 100 jars of honey from our own land, we will soon be adding pollen, from our land, to our list of products for sale.
