Tru Jamaica is a family-owned restaurant that serves authentic Jamaican Cuisine. We are serving good hospitality along with very distinctive food. Our dishes include Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Coconut Rice & Peas, fresh Sorrel n Ginger Drink, and many other authentic Jamaican dishes. We are a dine-in as well as a carry-out. We are located in East Waco and trying to help our surrounding community with jobs. We hope that through our restaurant, we can be a part of the rebuilding of a community that has been forgotten.

Aniceto Charles Jr, Eagle Scout, was born in Houston to Venezuelan and Jamaican Parents. He grew up in northern Virginia, where he studied Political Science at George Mason University. He successfully began a promotions company as an undergrad student ( Primo Productions). He was a Senior IT Consultant with Earnest & Young, SAP, and SuccessFactors for the past 13 years. This young Entrepreneur moved back to Texas a year ago to continue a family tradition of entrepreneurship in up-and-coming areas.
