Irel Bakery
Vendor
We are a very small, family owned bakery that specializes in Balkan desserts and bread. While we make tons of different desserts, pastries, and bread, our hope for the farmer's market is to sell sourdough bread, regular bread, baklava, and maybe one other dessert. Our bakery is 10 years in the making but our experience greatly supersedes that. Currently, we do not have our own brick and mortar store, but we do make bread at Hayder market everyday. All other orders are made to order from our own home kitchen.
We have never had an unhappy customer and would be ecstatic to have the opportunity to sell at this farmer's market.
Hajra Vujic
Hi! I am Hajra and I am Bosnian-American. My family and I moved to Nashville in 2001 as refugees from the Bosnian-American war. Although we are immigrants, we are also Nashville natives.
For over a decade, I worked very hard hours at Target every day. Eventually, I decided to work for myself by opening my own bakery. Everyone has always given me the highest praises for my desserts, bread, and balkan foods, so I knew it was the right move for me and my family.
Most of our clientele are individuals who are a part of the Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian/Albanian/GREATER BALKAN community in Nashville, so this would be an opportunity of a lifetime to get our name out there in the greater Nashville community.
At Hayder market, we make 'kifle' and 'vekne' (Balkan-styled bread) every day. However, all other orders such as cake orders, pastry orders, and sourdough orders are fulfilled using our home oven. Our hope for this farmer's market is to sell regular bread, sourdough, baklava, and possibly a few other desserts such as 'cupavice' or 'hurmasice'.
We can assure that our products are quite unique from other desserts and breads being sold at the farmer's market.
