morning view farm
Vendor
We are a small farm in Coyle, OK, we primarily raise dairy goats. We are a little different in that we use our milk to grow out young goats and lambs so that we can sell the meat at farmers markets!
Pastured
Our animals are on pasture, but also have access to alfalfa hay and grain. We use pasture rotation and cross species grazing to help minimize parasites in livestock, and also to encourage pasture health to help insure a longer more productive growing season.
Amanda Manley
My life's goal has always been to be a farmer. It all started with 4-H, that is how I got into raising sheep and goats. I quickly knew that that is what I wanted to do with my life! My husband and I moved to Oklahoma in 2008 so I could finish my B.S. degree in Animal Science at Langston University where I could focus on small ruminants and work at the University's goat farm. I then enrolled in a Master's program at Oklahoma State University to continue my education after having two kids. I graduating with a Master's of Science in International Agriculture, while continuing to work at Langston University managing their dairy goat herd. With 15 years experience in that position, I decided to take the plunge and focus on my farm! I am now a full time farmer and owner of Morning View Farm, and with the help of my sister am able to bring our products to multiple markets. I am completely dedicated to my animals, to promoting local agriculture, and to providing high quality products to consumers.
