The VA TVHS Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program (IPVAP) helps Veterans and their partners who are affected by domestic violence such as physical, emotional, sexual and verbal abuse from their spouse or partner. VA TVHS IPVAP staff recognizes the need to provide services, support and resources to all Veterans impacted by intimate partner violence and sexual assault. The VA TVHS IPVAP staff would like to be present to provide resources, materials to assist in addressing the deleterious effects of intimate partner violence. 45% of Black women and 40% of Black men have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by and intimate partner in their life time (2010-2012 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey)
