Parkrose Greenhouse
Vendor
Geri is the heart of Parkrose Greenhouse. She started selling tomatoes with a few seeds she had during a garage sale and the neighbors loved it. She slowly grew her customer based. Her son Chris and daughter in law Sadie decided to make her tomato passion an official business in 2021. We wanted to continue her legacy and her passion for her community. We are officially a nursery license, business register based of Geri's property. We have 3 greenhouses, we propagate and grow our own plants from seeds, we have over 60 varieties of tomatoes and we are slowly expanding as we grow. Our passion is to teach the community about gardening and teach children how to be sovereign with our land.
Use Only Organic Materials Non Gmo
All our seeds are non-gmo, organic or heirlooms as we teach customer to save seeds and grow the following year. We select our seeds from reliable companies like Territorial Seed Company; and Rare Seeds among others. We grow our seeds in seedling mix, then transplant to 4 inch pots with 3 way mix soil, then transplant to one gallon pots. We start our seeds in our garage then slowly acclimate our tomatoes and other veggies to Oregon weather. We use Castile Soap, alcohol and water to spray any aphids off, use cinnamon, we find non-toxic ways to remove pest.
Ariella Sadie Bauer
My name is Sadie. I am one of the owners of Parkrose Greenhouse. I came up with this idea of continuing mom aka Geri's legacy, always keeping in mind that community is everything. I work full time for Kaiser as a Community Health Navigator for our Senior and Disable Medicare Medicaid patients. With that experience I desire to expand Geri's love for her community and teach about health and how to grow your own garden. We are a small home business doing all this from our garage. I hope to grow, Parkrose Greenhouse into a farm when community is always gathering and learning.
