About

Having been a charter vendor at Knoxville's Farmer's Market since 2006, Sylvia Duquet looks forward to every Saturday morning, meeting with friends, and meeting new friends from around the world who pass by her Booth #52 in front of Soccer Taco. Sylvia and her husband of the Sioux-Winnebago Nations became vendors in 2006 displaying their join silversmithing jewelry - seen at their scrapbook website at crochetedcottoncloths2U.com. Since 2012, Sylvia has continued with her crafts every Saturday morning. On Sundays she provides music for St. Paul United Methodist Church - www.stpaulftncity.org as well as performing on piano for Knoxville Music Study Club.

Production Practices

Having been a charter vendor at Knoxville's Farmer's Market since 2006, Sylvia Duquet looks forward to every Saturday morning, meeting with friends, and meeting new friends from around the world who pass by her Booth #47 in front of Soccer Taco. Sylvia's creativity involves her favorite crafts of sewing, crocheting, weaving and hand-crafting quality earrings: As a trained seamstress, Sylvia is known for her unique design, each, one-of-a-kind apron, constructed of a quality kitchen tea towel formed with 3 pockets over attractive "Fashion Fabric." Her crocheted hats for babies and adults are the most comfortable ever worn, while being delightfully fashionable and even flamboyant. Sylvia's booth is the "to-go place" for crocheted cotton washcloths, sought by many customers. Folks of all ages find Sylvia's affordable & attractive earrings "Great Gifts" to buy and wear now or save for Christmas & Birthdays: Her high-quality variety from reputable jewelers' supply houses include - jeweler's glass as pearls & crystal, semi-precious stones, seashells, shaped acrylics and ceramics on surgical-steel hooks from high-end Rio-Grande Jeweler's Supply in Gallup, New Mexico. For years, Sylvia's Dreamcatchers have been hanging in children's bedrooms and adult's sunrooms - woven with simulated sinew from CrazyCrow.com Trading Post through a circle of grapevines from her own backyard and adorned with beads, feathers and her endless collection of yarns - accompanied by a postcard with her picture over the Ojibewa Grandmother's Legend of the Dreamcatcher. Sylvia's crafts have been displayed and sold for over a decade by Knoxville Soap and Candle Company, now located on Gay Street
