Loco Mofongo

We are a food trailer specialized in stuffed mofongo (fried green plantains mashed with our own mixture of olive oil, garlic and spices, then shaped into a bowl). Our mofongo can be stuffed with items like chicken, pulled pork, creole sauce with vegetables (our own vegan friendly offering) or with shrimp, and some other delicious stuff.
We started our food trailer business because we are very passionate about the Caribbean cuisine and its distinctive flavors. When we realized we had an amazing opportunity to bring the people of Tampa Bay with an authentic and amazing product that its not only different from others, but its also very tasty and delicious, we had to take action. So, after enjoying cooking for our family and friends for the past 20 years, we decided it was time for other people to enjoy that flavor and passion too. So, in 2021 Loco Mofongo LLC was established. After a couple of years of making lots of plans, taking hard and easy decisions, lots and lots of meetings and really hard work, we finally were able to open our doors on March 2023.
We have been in the road for about 8 weeks now doing different kind of events. We are ready for more and we want everyone to know what Loco Mofongo has to offer. So, come and meet us and enjoy some authentic stuffed mofongo while having fun with your friends and family.
