I’m Sarah Blackburn….I am married to my best friend of 6 years and have been a SAHM to our 4 yo son and 1 yo daughter. They have been the best built-in taste testers over the years!
A little about my background… I grew up with digestive issues that caused me to spend countless hours in doctors offices, having tests done, being misdiagnosed, and never truly having answers. About seven years ago, while completely defeated, I decided to take a break from the doctors office and take on my own health.
I started to research health, nutrition and just listen to my own body. I soon realized my symptoms were trying to tell me something, something important. Diet is so crucial to overall health, short term and long term. I quickly changed my diet and lifestyle and the relief I experienced was life changing.
Here’s the thing though, I LOVE my sweets. And more so, I LOVE to bake. My happy place is in the kitchen listening to Christian music and creating the perfect confection. My new life mission then became creating the same flavorful sweets that I love, but with only using healthy and non-harmful ingredients. Free Reign Bakery is a product of my last seven years in the kitchen, and I hope you love my products as much as I do.
I have learned so much about overall health and nutrition and am so excited to be able to share this knowledge one baked good at a time! Being healthy and having allergen restrictions does not mean living a life of exclusion from the foods you have always loved. I am so thankful for the health journey God has taken me on because I can now spread health and happiness one sensible sweet at a time. All have freedom to indulge without regret at Free Reign Bakery!
