Brooklyn ice treats

I was raised in Brooklyn, New York, when I was a kid a lot of my diet consisted of pizza and Italian ice. During the summer months Italian ice was a daily favorite for me.

After moving to Florida 30 years ago I still had a taste for one of my favorite treats, at the time it was difficult to find a pizza shop that carried real Italian ice I found one but unfortunately they stopped carrying italian ice because it sadly was not a big seller.

I ended up researching how Italian ice is made, and the equipment needed to make it I bought everything I needed and started experimenting. The only change I made was making it all natural. (My son had a sensitivity to red dye #40 )there are no preservatives, no food coloring, no artificial flavoring, and I use real cane sugar not high, fructose corn syrup.
