Sistah Girl Desserts is a local company that caters and distributes gluten, dairy and egg free baked goods here in Honolulu Hawaii. All of our delicious products are prepared with the best wholesome ingredients and created with the belief that healthy desserts can be enjoyed when the ingredients used are in sync with one’s desire to enjoy a sweet treat every now and then.
So, whatever your diet..be it vegan, vegetarian, have celiac disease, are gluten sensitive, or whatever your dietary regimen, we cater to you.
I am the founder and baker here at Sistah Girl Desserts. Our company was founded in 2014, a year after I moved to Hawaii. I started to develop allergies that was wreaking havoc on my body, and I was diagnosed with a slight allergy to wheat, among other things. And that brought about a change to how I looked at food, and what I was putting in my body. I also believed that there were many other people with similar conditions that also want to enjoy sweet treats like me.
I have always loved to cook, but baking was a little scary since I didn't think I was good at it. I am more of a savory chef. But because I love challenges, I decided to see if I was any good at it.
So I started baking with gluten free flours and experimenting with different recipes. My friends and family were my research and development team and after tasting my creations, advised me to share these desserts with the world. I surpassed any expectations that I could have imagined. Turns out my chocolate cakes and desserts are the BOMB!
