Annie Egypt Herbals -- Soaps, Body Creams, Body oils, Aromatic Spritzers, Skin Salve

All of my natural herbal products are made in small batches, from scratch, and I use no chemical preservatives or synthetic fragrances. I use pure essential oils for their aroma and therapeutic properties. My soaps are made by the cold process method of combining vegetable oils with a lye solution. I melt coconut oil , sustainably harvested palm oil, castor oil, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil and olive oil (sometimes grapeseed oil, wheat germ and sunflower oil are used as well) together with the lye solution, and stir until the solution thickens. Then essential oils are added along with dried herbs, dried flower petals, oats and/or other seeds for exfoliation. Some soaps I leave with a smooth texture, without herbs, so there is variety for everyone. I then pour the thickened mixture into prepared molds (greased with palm oil), let sit for 24-48 hours, then hand cut into bars. The saponification process takes about six weeks, and when the soap is cured, I wrap and label each individual bar.

My body oils are blended vegetable oils with my own essential oil blends, and put in plastic or glass bottles with ingredients listed on the labels.

My creams are made by melting blended vegetable oils with natural beeswax and cocoa butter then mixed at high speed with aloe vera, distilled water, essential oils and vitamin E oil (Vitamin E Oil is a natural preservative and extremely beneficial for skin). I package my creams in sterilized double walled polystyrene jars or amber glass jars, and label with listed ingredients.

My spritzers and insect repellents are made with distilled water, witch hazel and essential oils, and packaged in 2, 4, 6 or 8 oz plastic spray bottles.

My cleansing sea clay scrub and mask is made with green sea clay, ground oats, almonds, lavender flowers, rose buds and essential oils and is packaged in glass apothecary jars or plastic jars, with ingredients and instructions for use on the label.
