About
The Georgetown Pecan Company is owned and operated by Dennis and Marilyn Perz. We grow improved varieties of pecans at our 25 acre orchard on CR 150 just north of Georgetown. We are in our 25th season. We have been participating in the Second Saturday Market days since 2001.
Programs and Partners
Production Practices
We apply natural biological amendments annually to the soil to build and sustain the soil food web. Microbes improve soil tilth, drainage, and aeration. Soil and foliar samples are sent to labs to determine other mineral amendments. We are working with manufacturers to develop improved inputs to lower costs and improve long term ecology. We are not certified organic.
