SJL Creations LC

I believe that everyone was born with a gift and art is my gift to myself and others. My name is Samaiyah Abdur-Rahman, owner of SJL Creations LC. I make a type of abstract art called acrylic pouring. I started my business SJL Creations on September 24th, 2019. My artwork has been displayed at featured on Live in the Channel 4 News and numerous cafes, art auctions, exhibitions, art galleries, and pop-up shops throughout Michigan, Ohio, and New York. Recognizing the value of art in our lives, I have worked to incorporate art into my community. I have hosted free art workshops at an elementary school, senior living facilities, juvenile detention center, a homeless shelter, and an alternative charter school for grades 9th-12th for students, staff, and parents to encourage and promote art appreciation. Art has been an important part of my life. Creating art gives me an opportunity to express myself and gain peace. I harvest each project with zest, fondness, and poise.
