FRUIT HAVEN ORCHARDS LLC

John and Ella Fritz purchased our farm in 1913. Both were from German immigrant farming families. They raised apples, cherries, peaches, and pears along with grain, hay, cattle, pigs, sheep and chickens. Their daughter Hellen and son-in-law Waldo Dick took over the farm in 1934. Waldo and Hellen gradually converted the farm to all fruit and grain, specializing in apples, peaches, and cherries. They named it Fruit Haven because of the wide variety of Haven peaches they raised. Son Joe and grandson Bob Dick took over the farm in 1989 forming the J. and B. Dick Orchards partnership. The farm began catering to the farmers markets and added vegetables to a much expanded line of tree fruits. With the death of Joe in 2000, Bob took over the farm and changed the name back to Fruit Haven.
The Dick family strives to produce the best fruits and vegetables that our Michigan climate can produce.
