The City of Des Moines Sustainability Program manages programs, projects and initiatives focused on creating a more sustainable, resilient and vibrant community for all. Our FEED DSM initiative supports residents, small businesses and nonprofits throughout Des Moines to increase food security and expand urban agriculture opportunities. ADAPT DSM, the City's first climate action and adaptation plan recommends specific actions the city and community can take to reduce harmful GHG emissions, pollutants and build a more resilient community that can adapt to a changing climate now and for decades to come.
Jeremy is the City of Des Moines' Sustainability Program Manager and is responsible for integrating sustainability across the organization and community through public education and the development of targeted programs and initiatives. He works to build capacity and support through community partnerships and stakeholder engagement with residents, visitors, businesses and community-based organizations.
