Flowerfield Farmstead is a sustainable cut flower farm- just south of Schoolcraft, Mi. We specialize in high quality, naturally grown, long lasting flowers. As well as fun, creative workshops hosted in our rustic barn. Our paper wrapped bouquets can be found at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market & our self serve farm stand! As the seasons change so do our bouquets- come on out to what is blooming!

Production Practices
No Till Use Only Organic Materials Extended Growing Season Perennial Crops Crop Rotation
On our farm we use a "no till" slightly raised bed system. Each time we plant we consider our crop rotation & amend with compost and pasteurize chicken manure (no synthetic fertilizers). We prioritize using sustainable growing practices focusing on using hand tools for weeding (to mitigate the use of harsh chemicals), overall soil health and natural barriers (such as oils and bug netting) to help with pest and disease issues. Our green house and hoop house help to extend our growing season while helping to build better soil.
