In January of 2013, a little company called Gelu Italian Ice was born. With a handful of recipes handed down for generations, a single batch freezer, and a pair of pushcarts, Gelu went to market and began to win the locals’ hearts. With a marketing plan built on free samples, Gelu was so busy their employees were nearly trampled.
My name is Andy Mendoza and I am born and raise here in Waco, Texas. I am married to an amazing woman. We both love serving the Waco community with our gifts and talents. Here in Waco, I am surrounded by a bunch of supportive family and friends. I have put together a great team that brings customer satisfaction. Our crew is ready to serve and make everyone’s day with refreshing Italian ice.
