About

McGregor Farms is a family operated Honey Bee farm located in sunny Eastern Washington. Our story begins with Mike McGregor who grew up on a small Apple and Cherry Farm, participated in FFA and was mentored by a neighboring farmer who shared his knowledge and passion with Mike to become a keeper of bees!

What started out as a hobby soon became a passion and commitment to caring for and raising honey bees. It’s all about the bees! We are full time beekeepers, solely focused on providing the best possible care and habitat for our honeybees to thrive and flourish with a goal to achieve the ultimate deliciousness in both our honey and mead.

In 2013 we had 20 colonies producing a small amount of honey, today we care for approximately 300 colonies. In 2016 our son Mark moved home from Finland and joined the bee team, he brought the knowledge and passion for brewing which lead to two years of beta testing numerous varieties and styles of mead and obtaining our liquor license.

In 2018 we moved to Stemilt Hill, a scenic area in the mountains near Wenatchee, we now have a dedicated Honey House and Mead fermentation facility and soon to be open Mead Hall, tasting room and destination regarding all things bees, honey and mead! Our future Mead Hall is the former Stemilt Hill School House and most recently Grange Bldg., it’s a 100 year old building near our farm which we are restoring.
