Blerds have been left out of nerd culture and have even been left out of black culture. It’s time to make our own space to be unapologetically black and nerdy. No need to feel you need to hide who you are anymore.
Our purpose is to provide clothing for black nerds to gain the confidence to express themselves.

I’m Vanessa, owner of Planet Blerd Tees!
I created Planet Blerd for people like me.
I’ve always been labeled with words like weird, dorky, and awkward. I was bullied for my nerdiness AND the color of my skin. I’ve always struggled to express myself truthfully and unapologetically.
I didn’t fully grow out of this until I created Planet Blerd.
I wanted to create a brand where black nerds like myself could feel comfortable with expressing their nerdy interest without the fear of being judged.
I could never find any clothes that had black superheroes on them or showcased black nerds… So I made them myself!
