As an emerging artist, I create thrown and hand-built functional ceramics influenced by my Aztec heritage from Mexico. The earthy tones and strong imagery are seen throughout all of my work. For example, the ruins in Chichen Itza are something I have always gone back to spark my creativity.

I was born in Mexico and moved here to Kalamazoo at a very young age. However, I moved back around the age of nine and was able to learn so much about the beautiful country I was born in. Learning about Frida Kahlo and so many other Mexican artists inspired me to create my own. Now as I am twenty-four years old I express my creativity through clay.
