Bridges Heritage Growers is a brother / sister team who focused on their shared love of plants. We grow primarily greens - a variety of lettuces, kales, Asian greens, chard, beet greens as well as tomatoes, peppers and okra.
Our emphasis is on Heirloom varieties, although we have some open pollinated varieties. No Genetically Modified Organisms. Our goal is to find food crops that can grow without chemical assistance in our North Texas climate and naturally resist our North Texas pests.

The production process at Bridges Heritage Growers is focused on constant testing to determine what varieties of green leafy vegetables thrive in North Texas without chemical assistance. We use compost and compost tea for nutrients. We use drip irrigation to minimize water consumption.
We believe green leafy vegetables benefit the most from being harvested and eaten quickly. Their taste and nutrient quality degrade quicker thsn root crops, fruits, or curcurbits (squash, melons, cucumbers, etc.) Therefore, our quest is to find and master the leafy greens that LIKE North Texas!
