Pie By Kate is a local business that specializes in pies made from scratch using my grandmother's crust recipe. I keep things good and simple; the way pie is best enjoyed! Pies are special because they remind people of times gone by enjoyed with loved ones. This business began because of a high school economics assignment that grew into my career choice in 2015! Pie by Kate has grown steadily over the years and my goal is to keep serving pie to Denton County in the years to come! You can find Pie by Kate in different spots around town as well as at various farmers markets in Denton! Meeting the pie lovers around here is what makes the business all worth it!
My name is Kate Alfred and I am married to my wonderful husband, Trent! We love our critters and being outdoors. When I'm not baking pies you can find me in my backyard with my dogs, cats, chickens and ducks working in our garden or up at Lake Ray Roberts. My pie journey began in 2015 and I plan on it continuing for a long time! I've met some amazing people through my company and can't wait to meet more! Macaroni and cheese might be my favorite food, besides pie of course! ;)
