Our Story
“We started making convenient and wholesome food, which is our fuel for motion, to keep us going all day, no matter the activity!”
DoughChicks was created by Denise to provide opportunities for her daughter Kara, who is on the autism spectrum. After graduating from high school, Kara attended culinary arts school, where she cultivated her passion for food. The DoughChicks are avid runners, cyclists, and foodies, which led to the development of a dried fruit and chocolate energy bar (The MIbar) with oats, nuts and Michigan honey. Customers responded so well to the energy bar, they created gluten-free granolas, cashew brittle, pancake mix and, most recently developed several other flavors of The MIbar. All the products are made with gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free ingredients! DoughChicks process their products in a commercial kitchen in Kalamazoo, MI.

DoughChicks’ Product Descriptions
The MIbar (Original) is an energy cookie/bar that satisfies any food cravings while keeping your blood sugar levels even for hours! Fueled with dried fruit, nuts, gluten-Free whole oats, Organic dark chocolate and Michigan honey along with other nutritious ingredients.
The MIbar Flavors: Cherry Chocolate Chip, Funky Monkey (almond butter, banana and chocolate), AB & J (almond butter and Organic strawberry jam), Coconut Bliss (coconut and Organic chocolate chips)
AB&J: This gluten-free cookie contains oats, almond butter, and an Organic strawberry jam, sweetened with date and Michigan honey! This will bring back the satisfaction of eating your mom's PB&J, only better!
Cherry Chocolate Chip: A gluten-free energy cookie made with oats, dates, Michigan dried cherries, and Organic chocolate chips. If you love cherry and chocolate together, you'll fall in love with this tasty treat!
Coconut Bliss: This energy cookie packs a lot of coconut and our own vegan caramel, with just a touch of Organic chocolate chips!
Funky Monkey: A gluten-free energy cookie made with oats, banana, almond butter with Organic chocolate chips, sweetened with Michigan honey and date paste.
