Pie By Kate is a local business that specializes in pies made from scratch with the base being my Grandmother's crust recipe! I keep things simple and good! We do traditional pie flavors as well as some specialty flavors around the holidays. My goal with baking is to draw people together and bring back special memories from times gone by. Food is so special at doing that and so I'm happy to be able to bake for living! Serving Pie to Denton County is my goal and we intend to do that for years to come!
Hello! My name is Kate Alfred! I am married to my wonderful husband, Trent, and we love our pets! I have been baking my whole life but began my pie business endeavor after a high-school economics assignment of building a business. It became more than an assignment for me though and I decided it would become my career! Here I am running Pie By Kate! In my free time you can find me in my backyard with my chickens, dogs, and cats working in the garden or up at Lake Ray Robert's with my love! Macaroni and cheese is possibly my favorite food of all time. I love getting to meet new people and farmers markets are some of my favorite places to be to do that!
