Teresa Mims - Macrame

Like many women my age, I "macra-made" my way through college in the 1970's. Following retirement from teaching at an elementary school after 35 years, I rediscovered macrame while searching on Pinterest. My sisters still have some of the items that I did for them way back when. Much to my surprise, they are still in good shape - both my sisters and the items! As one of my sons said, "Hipsters love this stuff!" I see myself in the young women and little girls that stop to look and touch the items that I have made. There is something quite "earthy" about macrame. One young woman commented that this is an art that is good for the soul. I couldn't agree more. Peace.
