Spotted Horse Provisions creates sustainably minded, artisanal pantry staples: sauces, jams, pestos, pickled vegetables, and more. We engage in sustainable sourcing and cooking practices: preserving seasonal fruits and vegetables grown locally or by women-owned farms. using all parts of the produce we source; offering recycling incentives for customers for jar returns; and offering products at affordable prices and in a range of locations to support healthy food options in food deserts.
Spotted Horse Provisions is owned and operated by a woman with disabilities who has a life-long passion for not only feeding people healthy and delicious food, but also for supporting sustainable cooking and food sourcing. The recipes and flavors are inspired by her blended Iraqi, Sephardic Jewish, and Welsh heritages. The business is also meant as a message of hope for women starting over after having their lives destroyed by abusive partners. Lastly, Spotted Horse Provisions not only reflects our founder’s history of growing up in farm country where seasonal produce was preserved for use year-round, but it also stresses the importance of supporting farmers and women-owned businesses.
