Coming from a SoCal woodworking family, I am all about giving my creative urges free reign. I love everything about wood-the grain, the color, the smell, oh yeah, the smell. I've been trying to create one-of-a-kind items in wood every since my days of following my dad around his garage-shop. I love exotic hardwoods-who doesn't- just as long as they are sustainable, but I'm not afraid to shape something beautiful out of "ugly" processed plywood or OSB. Why not? It's a challenge. I like challenges. Playing off the juxtaposition created by taking functional, "ugly", manufactured wood and putting it into an elegant form, I am always looking to extend the metaphor. I got turned on to mosaic while living in Brazil, so I added that passion to my life. I am committed to producing truly one-off, completely handmade, creatively original pieces- that's it.
