Green Wizard Farms
Farmer
An avid gardener since I was 10 (58 yrs. ago), I completed the Master Gardener training in Maryland in 2005, and then moved to my little 5 acres at Broad Run, VA. I specialize in growing tree and small fruit, but I am also still experimenting with different varieties. My other specialty is Asian greens.

I grow organically as much as possible and have developed some ways to reduce pest and disease problems naturally. The jams that I produce from my fruit production are at least low sugar, and then I use brown sugar, and some are processed sugar free. I have some recipes that substitute honey. My wife makes homemade chocolates that are preservative and additive free that accordingly taste much better than store bought chocolate.
I also partner with Jon Diep who grows micro greens and makes some excellent asian cuisine (kimchi, bulgogi, etc.)
I have developed the most sustainable operation possible, with rain barrels on all my downspouts, solar cells on my house, and a robust composting system. My wife call me the recycling nazi!
