About
Our mission: to build a community that promotes animal welfare through compassionate services to animals and people.
Who we are: the Humane Society of Central Texas provides adoption, rescue and foster opportunities for the homeless animals at the Waco Animal Shelter located at 2032 Circle Road in Waco, Texas. Thanks to our community and supporters and despite an annual intake of over 4,000 animals, we attained No Kill status in 2016, meaning that at least 90% of animals that come into the shelter leave here alive for wonderful new homes!

We've got a passionate team of staff and volunteers with the Humane Society of Central Texas! We've all fallen in love with the shelter dogs we get to spend time with, and we're eager to share that love of dogs with our community.
