We, mother & trans daughter, established our herb farm in Hartland, CT in early 2022. We make a range of handmade soaps, scrubs and shower drops. Any herbs in the products (with the exception of tea) are grown by us on the farm. Our products do not contain any colorings or artificial fragrances. Any fragrance comes from herb, spices and essential oils. We hope to expand our range to include lotions & salves etc during 2023. In the longer term we plan to produce our own essential oils.
We are originally from England and moved to MA almost 30 years ago. It was the right land and farmhouse that pulled us over the boarder into CT and we love it here. Hartland is a little known but wonderful community that has been welcoming and supportive.
Alex is currently transitioning from Alexander to Alexis in order to become her authentic self and that's really the path we are both on in our lives - becoming our most authentic selves. We have always been happiest in the natural world, as have our two dogs, Artemis and Pepper. Their only complaint about life on the farm is that the two of us do have to go off site occasionally.
