Graceful Mandalas

At the beginning of Covid, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and while I was recovering, I discovered mandalas. For hours I scrolled on my iPad with wonder at the beauty of the mandala, the colors, the shapes, and the precision. I wondered if I could make such a thing, and so began my very feeble first attempt, but the mandala bug had bitten me and I would not give up! Before long, I was making some beautiful mandalas. Painting mandalas has been so healing for me. I enter a different zone as I paint! It is restful, magical, and pleasant. As I look at my work, I recognize the wonder that beauty can arise from ashes.
