Wani Cakes

At Wani Cakes, our mission is to celebrate lives. And we do this by providing the best cakes made with simple premium ingredients. We started our business by offering event cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc. While this is still a part of our business, we discovered that our mission transcends those major events of life. We believe that we should celebrate ourselves, our family, and our coworkers more often because this builds a stronger community. We also believe that we need to celebrate the small and big milestones in our lives. So in keeping with this mission, we developed a product that allows celebrating each other easier and more affordable, we called it an "Omich"! This is a single-portioned dessert that offers customers a unique experience of eating cake. This product looks like a sandwich, but we use cake, fruits, nuts, and other sweet fillings. Our three flavors are Berry Summer, Nutty Crunch, and S'mores. Our top seller has been the Berry Summer which is a delicious vanilla cake made from scratch, paired with our berry medley that is bursting with fresh fruit flavors, and our signature cream that is light, rich, and, creamy, but not too sweet.
We offer two versions of this product, pre-packed for customers who want grab-and-go convenience. And an à la carte version where we let the customer choose what they want on their omich. Last year we sold our omiches at the Dearborn farmer’s market, and it was a big hit not only because of its uniqueness, but also increased interaction and engagement with market goers. At Eastern Market, we plan to offer both versions to customers.
